The EPFO mandatory wage ceiling has been raised from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 per month, effective 17 September 2026 — the first revision since 2014. Employees earning up to ₹25,000 now come under mandatory EPF, EPS and EDLI. The contribution rate stays 12% + 12% but is computed on the higher wage base, so employer PF outgo can rise for staff in the ₹15,000–₹25,000 band.
TCS on overseas tour packages (Section 206C(1G), now Section 394(1) of the Income-tax Act, 2025) is a flat 2% from FY 2026-27. However, under CBDT Notification No. 20/2022, it does not apply to a non-resident individual who is visiting India. So if an NRI books the package while visiting India, no TCS is collected; if booked from abroad, 2% TCS may apply. Confirm the specific facts.
